Green mountains
Nature is Ismayilli's chief treasure: the foothills of the Greater Caucasus, dense forests and mountain rivers create a special green world.
Getting to know this land begins with its nature.
Nature
The slopes of Ismayilli are covered with broadleaf forests — oak, hornbeam, beech, alder, birch, poplar. Mountain rivers run through the valleys, including the Girdimanchay, which feeds the region with clear water.
Forests and rivers shape the district and its cool, fresh climate.

Nature
The district has a state nature reserve that protects its forests and mountain landscapes. Here live deer, chamois, roe deer, bears, boars, lynxes, foxes and many birds.
These forests are among the richest in wildlife in Azerbaijan.
